A little guidance. A shared mission.

How can we help?

Find your way around 4RBEES, from PureWave products to our beekeeper and ambassador communities. Every informed step helps us move the mission forward together.

Our mission

What is the 4RBEES mission?

4RBEES supports honeybees and the people who care for them through PureWave technology, research and the Beekeeper Program.

How does my purchase help beekeepers?

PureWave Cell purchases help provide Cells to beekeepers participating in the global 4RBEES research program and support continued research.

Who should I contact about a podcast, interview or speaking opportunity?

For podcasts, interviews with Brent Knudsen, media appearances or opportunities to speak for 4RBEES, contact Lisa Richards at lisarichards@4rbees.com. Please include a brief description of the opportunity and any proposed dates.

PureWave Cell

What is the PureWave Cell?

The PureWave Cell is a sealed magnetic device made with 12 neodymium magnets in a specific polarity arrangement inspired by Flower of Life geometry. It creates a static magnetic field and works without batteries or charging.

How does it work?

Its 12 magnets create a magnetic field around the Cell. The 2026 User Guide describes approximately 48,000 combined gauss across the magnets and a field approximately 12 inches in diameter. The Cell itself is not an electrically powered pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) device. Research into how its field may affect honeybees is ongoing.

Does it block or eliminate EMFs?

No. The PureWave Cell does not block, shield or eliminate electromagnetic fields. It creates its own magnetic field in its immediate surroundings.

What does “bringing coherence” mean?

4RBEES uses “coherence” to describe the intended ordering of the immediate environment around the Cell. This description is not a promise of a medical benefit or proof of a particular biological mechanism.

How large is the magnetic field?

The field extends approximately six inches in every direction around the Cell, creating an overall field approximately 12 inches in diameter.

Does it matter which side faces the item?

No. The field is omnidirectional, so either side can face the person, pet, plant, food, water, or object.

Does the Cell need to touch the person or object?

No. Place the person or item within approximately six inches of the Cell.

Does it require electricity, batteries, or charging?

No. Its magnetic field is continuously active without electricity, batteries, charging, settings, or maintenance.

How can I use it with food and water?

Place water, milk, produce, or a meal within the Cell’s field. Some people put it beneath their plate at home or take it to restaurants. Follow the User Guide for placement details.

How can I use it with pets and plants?

Place it under or near a pet bed, food bowl, or water bowl, or near houseplants, seedlings, and garden starts.

Can I wear it or take it with me?

Yes. Carry it in the PureWave Body Pack while walking, running, mowing, working outdoors, or traveling.

How many PureWave Cells do I need?

That depends on where and how you plan to use them. One Cell can move with you. Additional Cells can stay in frequently used areas such as a bedroom, office, vehicle, kitchen, or pet space.

Will it interfere with electronics?

Because the Cell contains strong neodymium magnets, follow the User Guide and keep it away from magnetic-stripe cards, traditional hard drives, compasses and other magnet-sensitive items.

What research supports the PureWave Cell?

Research includes honeybee field observations reviewed by Dr. Magda Havas, a published 2026 honeybee study, preliminary Pathogenia food laboratory testing and ongoing reports from participating beekeepers. These sources answer different questions and do not establish medical benefits for people or pets. See the research library for the original materials.

What does wellness technology mean?

4RBEES describes the PureWave Cell as wellness technology for everyday surroundings. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent disease. Follow the User Guide and continue normal medical, veterinary and beekeeping care.

What does the 20-year guarantee cover?

The 2026 User Guide says all PureWave Cells include a 20-year guarantee. A Cell damaged during normal use may be eligible for replacement if inspection determines it was not subjected to abuse. Contact hello@4rbees.com for claim instructions and review the complete terms.

How does my purchase support the Beekeeper Program?

A portion of every purchase helps us provide PureWave Cells and other support to participating beekeepers at no cost to them. It also helps expand the ongoing research being gathered through the program.

What should people with medical implants know?

Because the Cell contains strong neodymium magnets, people with pacemakers, implanted defibrillators, insulin pumps, cochlear implants, or other magnet-sensitive medical devices should consult the device manufacturer or a healthcare professional and follow the User Guide. Do not place the Cell directly over an implant.

Care and use

How should I handle and care for my PureWave Cell?

Place it on a stable surface. Avoid dropping or striking it, and do not open or modify the casing. Keep it away from magnet-sensitive items and follow the User Guide’s precautions.

What temperature range does the User Guide specify?

The 2026 User Guide specifies 32°F to 120°F (0°C to 49°C). Avoid extreme temperatures to protect the magnets and casing. If your hive or intended environment is outside that range, contact hello@4rbees.com for guidance before use.

What electronics should I keep it away from?

The User Guide says to avoid placing the Cell directly against credit cards, magnetic storage devices, hard drives, mechanical watches, cell phones or tablets.

Does the Cell purify water or make food safe?

No. The User Guide says the Cell is not intended to purify or treat drinking water, and it is not a sterilization device, antimicrobial device or food-safety system. Continue normal food-safety and water-safety practices.

Can I travel with my PureWave Cell?

Customers have travelled with their PureWave Cells in both carry-on and checked luggage without reporting problems to us. Pack your Cell securely and follow the User Guide’s precautions around magnet-sensitive items. Airline and security requirements can vary, so check the requirements for your route before travelling.

PureWave Honey

What makes PureWave Honey different?

PureWave Honey is Canadian wildflower honey from hives containing PureWave Cells. After packaging, each jar goes through a one-hour process on the Chrysalis Energizer. Learn more on the PureWave Honey page.

What does raw, creamed and unpasteurized mean?

The honey is kept in its natural form without pasteurization. Creaming gives it a smooth, spreadable texture while preserving the rich character of the wildflower honey.

What ingredients are in it?

PureWave Honey contains 100% Canadian wildflower honey with no fillers, additives or added sugar.

How much is in each jar?

Each jar contains 330 grams, or 11.6 ounces, of honey.

Where does the honey come from?

The honey comes from Grey Highlands, Ontario, Canada.

What does “energized” mean?

“Energized” describes the one-hour Chrysalis process used after packaging. It describes how the product is prepared; it is not a promise of a particular physical or health effect.

How is the honey energized?

After packaging, every jar spends one hour on our proprietary Chrysalis Energizer. Fifteen PureWave Cells rotate within three cylinders, creating a pulsed electromagnetic field while the honey is exposed to multiple carefully selected frequencies, including 7.83 Hz.

What do the Kirlian electrographic images show?

The product page uses Kirlian electrography to compare corona-discharge patterns before and after the Chrysalis process. These images are not clinical evidence of a health benefit.

Was the honey itself part of the bee study?

The bee research evaluated honeybee colonies with PureWave Cells, rather than testing health effects of the finished honey. More total honey was recorded in the treated yard, which also had more hives and boxes; yield per box was not statistically different in the supplied field-study manuscript.

Where is PureWave Honey available?

PureWave Honey is currently available for shipment within the United States and Canada.

Can I take PureWave Honey on a flight?

Honey follows food and liquid restrictions. Full-size PureWave Honey jars exceed standard carry-on limits for liquids and non-solid foods, so pack them securely in checked luggage where permitted. Check your destination’s food-import requirements before travelling.

Research and evidence

What did the honeybee field research observe?

Dr. Magda Havas’s 2023-2024 field research followed two commercial apiaries in Ontario, Canada, with approximately 60 hives in total. The hives with PureWave Cells showed several encouraging outcomes compared with the reference hives:

  • Better winter survival and more bees present when hives were opened in spring.
  • Stronger colony populations, with many treated hives needing to be split in spring to help prevent swarming.
  • Greater activity and calmer, less aggressive behaviour.
  • Cleaner, more hygienic hives and higher overall colony ratings.
  • Fewer queen replacements: three hives in the treated yard required new queens, compared with all hives in the reference yard.
  • More total honey from the treated yard: approximately 1,701 kg compared with 1,184 kg in the reference yard, associated with more bees surviving winter. Honey yield per box was similar between yards, with no statistically significant difference.
  • Improvement after Cells were introduced to the comparison yard: colony performance improved within eight weeks and reached a similar level to the originally treated yard.

Both yards continued their normal commercial hive care, including mite and pathogen management. Mite infestation did not differ between yards. These findings document the outcomes observed in this field study; results can vary with colony and environmental conditions. Read the published honeybee study for the study summary and publication details.

Where can I read the published honeybee study?

The 2026 paper, “Magnetic disc enhances resilience and over-winter survival of honeybees (Apis mellifera),” is listed in PubMed. You can also explore the 4RBEES research library for related studies and program information.

What did the Pathogenia food laboratory report test?

The independent Pathogenia food laboratory reported reductions in most of the tested microorganism-and-food combinations after just five minutes of exposure to the magnetic disc now known as the PureWave Cell. Testing used inoculated minced chicken and frozen raspberries.

  • In raspberries, reductions were reported for every microorganism tested: Listeria, yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), coliform bacteria (Klebsiella aerogenes) and Staphylococcus aureus.
  • In chicken, reductions were reported for coliform bacteria and Staphylococcus aureus.

The report’s tables express percentages as reductions in the logarithmic plate-count values, rather than a direct percentage of organisms killed. Results varied by organism and food: chicken samples showed no reduction in Listeria and increases in yeast. The laboratory described the findings as promising for reducing some food microorganisms and called for additional data to validate performance. Explore the original laboratory report for all results and methods.

Does laboratory testing mean the Cell sterilizes food?

No. The preliminary laboratory findings do not establish that the Cell sterilizes food, removes every pathogen or makes unsafe food safe. Continue normal food handling, storage and preparation practices.

Beekeeper Program

Who can apply to the Beekeeper Program?

Beekeepers with at least two active hives can apply. The program uses a hive with a PureWave Cell and a control hive for comparison. Read the Beekeeper Program information and submit the application to be considered.

Do I need a video to apply?

No. A video is not required with your application. Monthly research reporting begins after you are accepted and join the program.

Do accepted beekeepers receive a PureWave Cell at no cost?

Yes. Accepted participants receive one PureWave Cell at no cost under the research agreement. Our intention is to help equip your entire apiary over time so we can help more bees together. Additional Cells and assistance require approval and are not automatic. The research Cell remains 4RBEES property under the agreement.

When are applications reviewed?

We accept applications throughout the year. Quarterly review deadlines are February 15, April 15, July 15 and October 15. Applications received after a deadline are considered in the next intake.

What do participating beekeepers need to do?

Participants follow the research agreement, document their Cell and control hives, submit a monthly report, attend monthly meetings live or by replay, and stay connected through the program’s Discord community. Continue normal hive care and report honest observations, including losses or no noticeable change.

Where do I find my beekeeper ID?

Your beekeeper ID was emailed to you in your welcome or program email. Check your inbox, spam and Promotions folders. If you still cannot find it, contact Lisa Richards at lisarichards@4rbees.com for help. IDs have recently been introduced, so please reach out if you need yours.

How do I submit my monthly research video?

Open the Beekeeper Submission Form. Enter your beekeeper ID, reporting month and reporting year. Choose Research Video Submission, then upload the actual video file or drag and drop it into the upload area. Add observational notes if you wish, they are optional. Click Submit Report.

Can I submit a Google Drive, ProtonMail or YouTube video link?

We no longer accept submission links, including Google Drive, ProtonMail and YouTube links. Please upload or drag and drop the actual video file into the Beekeeper Submission Form. This lets the program process and transcribe the video.

How do I complete a winter check-in when it is unsafe to open the hive?

Open the same Beekeeper Submission Form. Enter your beekeeper ID, reporting month and reporting year. Choose Winter Check-In, Unsafe to Open Hive, then click Submit Report. No video or written explanation is required for this option. Complete a check-in each month while conditions make opening the hive unsafe.

Does winter pause the monthly reporting requirement?

No. Keep reporting each month. Use Winter Check-In, Unsafe to Open Hive whenever conditions make opening the hive unsafe, then return to research video submissions when conditions allow.

What should a research video include?

Aim for about five minutes. Begin with your name, the date and apiary, identify the research pair, and clearly label the Cell hive and control hive. Show and describe both hives when conditions are safe. Share honest observations rather than trying to show a particular result. Follow your orientation instructions for the complete filming guidance.

When is the first placement video due?

Your initial unboxing and placement video is due by the last day of the next calendar month after the month you receive your Cell. For example, whether it arrives October 1 or October 31, the initial video is due November 30. Follow the monthly reporting schedule provided during orientation after installation.

When are the monthly beekeeper meetings?

Meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month at 1 p.m. Eastern Time. Attend live or watch the replay. The meeting link and updates are shared through the program.

How do I join the beekeeper Discord community?

Use the invitation in your welcome email and complete Role Intake so you can access the correct program areas. Return with the same account and stay connected for updates; you do not need to chat actively. For help getting started, watch the Discord Beekeeper Forum Tutorial. General program questions are best shared in Discord so the answers can help other beekeepers too.

Can I apply for additional Cells or other assistance?

Active participants can apply during quarterly allocation windows: February 1-15, April 1-15, July 1-15 and October 1-15. Eligibility includes five consecutive months of submissions, monthly meetings live or by replay, and staying connected through Discord. Eligible participants receive application information by email. Support may include more Cells, bee packages, nucs, queen replacements and organic wildflower seeds. Availability and approval determine the assistance provided.

How do approved allocation reimbursements work?

Wait for written approval and follow the approved amount and instructions before making a purchase. After installation or planting, the program requires the supporting video through the separate Allocation Reimbursement Form. Approved reimbursement can be issued through PayPal or store credit. Additional Cell placement videos belong in the regular Beekeeper Submission Form.

Can you contact a beekeeper I recommend?

Thank you for thinking of someone who could be part of the mission. Please share the Beekeeper Program with them and invite them to apply directly. We do not contact individuals or public figures on someone else’s recommendation.

Do I still need to check in while travelling?

Yes. Monthly check-ins are required to remain compliant in the Beekeeper Program and eligible to apply for allocations, including additional Cells, bee packages, nucs, queen replacements and organic wildflower seeds. While travelling, use the existing Winter Check-In, Unsafe to Open Hive option for now. Open the Beekeeper Submission Form, enter your beekeeper ID and reporting month and year, select that option, and click Submit Report. No video or written explanation is required for this option. Other allocation eligibility and approval requirements still apply.

What if my orientation or program emails are missing?

Check your spam folder first. If the emails are not there, contact lisarichards@4rbees.com so Lisa can check that you are connected to the program communications.
